Open online course on transboundary waters

Transboundary basins account for roughly 60% of freshwater resources, serving around 40% of the world’s population. Managing these shared water resources for the benefit of each country’s population, particularly the poorest communities, needs careful cooperation.

Together with expert partners, the Global Water Partnership and the Global Environment Facility's International Waters Learning Exchange and Resource Network have opened an online course on governance for transboundary freshwaters.

The self-paced course is free and open to everyone, and is especially designed for both current and aspiring decision-makers, as well as undergraduate and graduate students.
