Winners Announced for Water for Life Award

Best water management practices goes to Cultivando Água Boa / Cultivando Agua Buena in Brazil for their protecting of natural resources and fighting poverty in the region surrounding the Itaipu Bincional hydropower facility, which spans Brazil and Paraguay.

Best participatory, communication, awareness-raising and education practices is co-awarded this year: It goes to ONE DROP Project India that uses water to drive change with an approach that empowers people to improve their living conditions and South African DWS and also to WESSA Eco-Schools Water Project, South Africa that strengthens water education through implementation of the Eco-School’s 7 step framework for ESD learning and change.
