WMO HydroHub Youth Symposium

MINUSMA meets university students of Bamako

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) believes that youth engagement in the innovation and operations of water monitoring systems is essential to the future of effective water resources management and the provision of safe and reliable water supplies going forward. This includes youth participation in decision-making processes and crowdsourcing projects, as well as more young people professionally engaging in water-related fields.

The WMO HydroHub Youth Symposium aims to raise awareness among the younger generation on sustainable water resources management, water monitoring and crowdsourcing and career perspectives in the field of water. The Youth Symposium also aims to guide and prepare young people for their participation in COP27, the Groundwater Summit 2022 and the UN 2023 Water Conference.

The Symposium will be held on Wednesday, 12 October 2022, 10:00-16:00 UTC/12:00-18:00 CEST, online and at WMO Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland.
