World Toilet Day 2021- Virtual Dialogue

To mark World Toilet Day 2021, a special event is taking place at the United Nations headquarters in New York on 19 November.

The President of the UN General Assembly Abdulla Shahid and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed will open proceedings, highlighting the importance of tackling the global sanitation crisis.

Co-hosted by the Permanent Missions of India, Nigeria, and Singapore, and supported by UN-Water, the event will share best practices and success stories, and there will be dialogue sessions on the theme of ‘Valuing Toilets’ and its link to improving gender equality, education, human rights, economics, and the environment.

The hybrid event takes place on Friday 19 November 2021 9:00 – 10:00 EST/15:00 – 16:00 CET .
