He urged the world to work together and have an open frank discussion on the importance of toilets and sanitation. World Toilet Day marked the conclusion of a three-day-focus on water and sanitation at the UN Headquarters that included the final meeting of the UN Secretary-General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB) (final report here ), the Second United Nations Special Thematic Session on Water and Disasters and a High-level debate on the linkages between sanitation and nutrition organized by the Permanent Mission of Singapore to the United Nations and UN-Water.
