The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2022

20180424 WASH Wau Shilluk SEBR3064

The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2022 is the only United Nations official report that monitors global progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This annual report is prepared by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), in collaboration with the entire UN Statistical System.

The 2022 report highlights the confluence of crises, dominated by COVID-19, climate change, and conflicts, that are creating spin-off impacts on food and nutrition, health, education, the environment, and peace and security, and affecting all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Report details the reversal of years of progress in eradicating poverty and hunger, improving health and education, providing basic services, and much more. It also points out areas that need urgent action in order to rescue the SDGs and deliver meaningful progress for people and the planet by 2030.
