Monitoring methodologies for SDG 6 indicators are now being piloted in six countries, examining the technical feasibility of methodologies, the usefulness of resultant data for shaping national policies and investment, and possible models for institutional cooperation within countries. First out were Jordan, Peru and Senegal, where inception workshops resulted in a greater understanding of national priorities and existing monitoring efforts, initial discussions on the implications of the 2030 Agenda and SDG 6 monitoring, as well as political endorsement of the upcoming work.

Preliminary results will be presented at the World Water Week in Stockholm.
