Launch of UN World Water Development Report and commemoration of World Water Day

WWD2022

The UN World Water Development Report 2022 “Groundwater - making the invisible visible” will be launched on 21 March 2022 at the opening ceremony of the 9th World Water Forum in Dakar, Senegal.

The following day is World Water Day, 22 March 2022. In commemoration, a ‘pivot’ event will be attended by heads of state and prominent water sector leaders, which will include a presentation of the key findings in the UN World Water Development Report.

World Water Day is an international day observed by the United Nations. It has been celebrated globally every year for more than 20 years following the United Nations General Assembly’s designation of 22 March as ‘World Water Day’ in 1993.
