IAEA interactive map on nuclear technology and water management

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) launch an interactive map on nuclear applications, where water management is one of the topics addressed.

IAEA

The interactive map provides information about nuclear applications, responding to questions such as;

  • How isotope techniques can provide information to assess major water quality issues derived from agricultural, mining and industrial activities.
  • How isotopic fingerprints can be used to assess ancient climate conditions through looking at natural historical archives, such as glaciers, tree rings, and ancient ground water.
  • How isotopic techniques may provide information about water origin and the timeframe for its replenishment, which can be used to understand the impacts of climate change.

The IAEA interactive map and pdf's are available here.
